Module 5. Sustainable Urban Rehabilitation - Rehabilitación Urbana Sostenible.

In this fifth module of the course we want to emphasize sustainable urban renewal and urban regeneration as a major opportunity to implement all the issues discussed above in relation to sustainable construction. In section 5.1. we analyze the importance of cities as the main focus of human activity and therefore construction, reviewing some of the latest models of development in which it is currently working. Later, in section 5.2, we will focus on developing the concept of urban regeneration, highlighting its key features and after this, discussing in an interview the key related challenges for the future. Finally, in section 5.3. we emphasize the importance of building in a sustainable way to better manage rainwater in cities, thus adapting to climate change.
The notes associated with each part are available in both languages on the link under the video in the sections of theory and also in the section of study cases. In these notes, in presentation format, the information presented in the videos is enlarged with the intention of guiding complete this introduction to the very complex subject of urban regeneration.

En este quinto módulo del curso queremos destacar la rehabilitación urbana sostenible o regeneración urbana como la principal oportunidad para poner en práctica todos los temas tratados anteriormente en relación con la construcción sostenible. En la sección 5.1. analizamos la importancia de las ciudades como principal foco de la actividad humana y por tanto de la construcción, repasando algunos de los últimos modelos de desarrollo en los que se está trabajando actualmente. Posteriormente, en el apartado 5.2, nos centraremos en el desarrollo del concepto de regeneración urbana, destacando sus principales características y discutiendo posteriormente en una entrevista los principales retos asociados. Por último, en la sección 5.3. destacamos la importancia que tiene construir de forma sostenible para gestionar mejor el agua de lluvia en las ciudades, logrando así adaptarnos al Cambio Climático.
Los apuntes asociados a cada parte están disponibles en ambos idiomas en el enlace situado bajo los videos de teoría y en el apartado de casos prácticos. En estos apuntes con formato presentación se amplía la información presentada en los videos con la intención de orientar esta introducción al complejo tema de la regeneración urbana.
